Computer careers are largely established by computer networking through network engineering fields. The necessity of computer networks with the internet being the largest computer network of all and are the backbone of many companies and organizations. Getting the proper training in network engineering is important to be able to start your career. There are several schools and colleges to choose from.
Network engineers who choose to go into network administration start training during the first nine months to get their network administration certification. You can get certified in a specific area of software and or hardware you are working with such as Cisco or Novell Networks or you can get generic certification using CompTIA's Network+.
Regardless of the area you choose to pursue, network administration certification will certainly help you to advance your career.
As more companies are using more complex computer networking solutions the demand for network administration is increasing. There is a greater need for network administrators. There is also a need for working with smaller companies as a consultant. These are companies who have local area networks with internet access but do not have a need for this position on a full time basis but do need help on a part time basis.
In either case, there are opportunities for employment in the field of computer networking at a company on a full time basis or as an independent consultant.
